This month JRS Kosovo has continued its work in supporting asylum seekers in Magure Center with health check-ups and medicines according doctor descriptions. Albanian Language Course and Computer Course are also offered in the library of the center. All asylum seekers can attend them and improve their skills while they are waiting for the decision. Our daily presence in the center is what makes our work unique because it gives us the possibility to really get to know them and their stories and how to respond to their needs. At the same time, we also supported detainees in Detention Center in Vranidoll with food and noon food items and medicines according to the needs. Detainees are the most sensitive category we work with because they are completely isolated within the center. During the day they have the right to go in the center yard only 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. During these hours JRS staff goes and meets them. We gather and have some friendly conversations and we identify their needs and the ways we can support them.

The newest category we are working with are the refugees. They are located in Prishtina, Podujeva and Ferizaj. We organized regular family visits and in base of their needs we supported them. We know that the process of their integration will be relatively long so JRS Kosovo is working on starting very soon with the accredited Language Courses as a first step toward their integration in Kosovar Society.
